Kovaluu Launches the Beats and Loops App That Acts as a Virtual Foot Pedal

Kovaluu, a Finish organization, added new capabilities to the Beats and Loops app, which is currently available for Android and iOS devices for a price of $3.99. The Beats and Loops app can now act as a foot pedal. Users can operate the virtual foot pedal by placing their feet above their smartphone, and then pressing the pedal to change the beat or to add sounds.

The app has 50 different drum presets, in addition to fills and other features. The app also comes equipped with a metronome and chronic tuner.

The virtual pedal relies on a device's proximity detector, which is typically used to adjust screens during phone calls. However, Kovaluu was able to use this technology in a vastly different way.
