Upcycled Plastic Beach Huts

These Eco-Friendly Beach Huts Resemble Colorful Upside Down Pine Cones

These stunningly colorful beach huts were created by the architecture firm Spark. The huts themselves are designed to be elevated, like treehouses and are shaped like upside down pine cones.

The beautiful beach huts are a conceptual idea and will be located on the waterfront at Spark's Singapore office. The ultimate goal behind the creation of these huts was to find a clever way to use the mass amounts of plastic that continuously pollutes global waterways. Since much of this waste is generated by high-density polyethylene, the huts will be durable and weather-resistant.

The huts will are a conceptual project, which Spark plans to allow campers and tourists to use in the hopes that it will raise awareness of oceanic pollution. It will then simultaneously provide an eco-friendly solution for the existing plastic waste.
