Barber and Osgerby’s In The Making Features 24 Aluminum Produc

British designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby have been enlisted by the London Design Museum in curating an exhibition called In The Making, that feature a series of designs that have been paused mid construction.

The exhibition by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby features 24 objects that have been paused at various stages in the production process. The duo were inspired by the idea that the items that are in the production stage are sometimes more abstractly beautiful than the finished product.

Some of the objects include an aluminum section that forms part of a London Underground train, the flat exterior skin of the Olympic Torch, the metal case of an Apple laptop, an aluminum can without its top and many more.

On the aluminum based products, Osgerby says, "There are a number of aluminium pieces in this exhibition, which I think demonstrates the importance of the material - not least in its recyclability but also its malleability."
