Takara Tomy is Opening Up a Beyblade Bar in Japan for Adults

In the new year, Takara Tomy will be putting a spotlight on its spinning toys by launching the 'Bakuten Shoot Beyblade Bar' in Japan. While spinning tops are typically designed, branded and marketed towards kids, this pop-up bar will specifically cater to adults. With that being said, kids who are juniors in high school or younger will be permitted entry, provided that they are accompanied by an adult.

The pop-up Beyblade Bar is opening on the sixth floor of Ikebukuro Parco and will include a space for guests to play with Beyblades, browse exhibits of past models and enjoy a variery of themed drinks.

Even though Beyblade toys were first released in Japan in 2000, they continue to be wildly successful in Japan. For instance, the third generation series of Beyblade toys with NFC technology sold five million units in Japan alone.
