Bamboo pavilions come in various shapes and sizes, but the Bloom Pavilion in China certainly makes a memorable statement in both of these areas.
The pavilion is located on the Sai Van Lake in China, and features woven bamboo material that stick upwards out of the water. The woven parts of the design actually come together overhead to create more of a canopy, so as visitors have some kind of shelter when visiting here (although it doesn't provide much of a break from the rain). The pavilion is student designed by pupils at the University of Saint Joseph, who were trying to experiment with the concept of water, land and sky with the look.
