Sandwich-Paired Wines

Jimmy John's Created a Wine to Go with Its 'Frenchie' Baguette Sandwich

Earlier this year, Jimmy John's unveiled The Frenchie baguette sandwich, which is filled with a simple yet sophisticated combination of all-natural salami, capicola deli slices, provolone cheese and salted butter. To help people enjoy the buttery, French-style sandwich all the more, Jimmy John's created a wine that pairs with it perfectly.

The appropriately named Vin de Sandwich, or "sandwich wine," takes the form of a light-bodied Pinot Noir that features grapes sourced from California with notes of dark raspberry, ripe cherry, cedar and spice. The tannin and acidity of the wine is said to enhance the richness of the sandwich.

As The Frenchie is part of the chain's value-priced menu, Jimmy John's Vin De Sandwich Pinot Noir 2017 promises to enhance one's enjoyment of the meal as a premium wine.
