Bacardi Limited Celebrates 150th Birthday With $2,000 Decanter

Bacardi Limited is celebrating its 150th birthday this year, and as part of the celebration, it has created a limited edition decanter of Bacardi rum that will set luxury customers back $2,000.

The rum contained in the Bacardi limited edition decanter will be a rare rum created by family members. Called 'Ron Bacardi de Maestros de Ron, Vintage, MMXII,' it features a "blend of the best rums rested in oak barrels over the last 20 years and finished in 60-year old Cognac barrels," describes Popsop. The limited edition bottle itself is made of handblown crystal and comes with a leather case, and there will only be 400 of the limited edition bottles available.

Along with the special bottle, Bacardi Limited will celebrate its 150th by hosting a series of birthday parties around the world and offering tickets to fans via its Facebook page. Fans will also get a chance to win special Bacardi glassware, apparel and other gifts.
