Azuma Makoto takes an arrangement of flowers and installs an electronic sound monitor to each display to read the flowers as they continue to breathe. As they absorb oxygen and omit carbon dioxide, the throb of each flower emits a noise and is read on the monitors, expressing the essence of the gallery as a whole: the sound of life.
