Axa Health Installs Giant SAD Lamps in London's King's Cross

As part of its 'Feelgood health' campaign, health insurance company Axa Health has set up a unique out-of-home installation in London featuring giant lamps intended to boost passerby's mental and physical well-being.

The installation includes three bedside table-style lamps that measure five meters high, each of which is equipped with seasonal affective disorder (SAD) bulbs. The idea is that these giant lamps will help alleviate the winter blues by mimicking sunlight for those who stand or sit underneath them. Adding to the interactive nature of the installation, pedestrians will be able to pull on a cord to activate the lamp's light and scan QR codes for more information regarding Axa's mental health offerings.

''Going to the gym, walking the dog, watching what we eat and drink, many of us are trying to keep a little healthier. But life can get in the way and health can take a back seat. This campaign is all about bringing little rays of healthiness and happiness to the public in a fun and 'feelgood' way," said Mark Elwood, executive creative director, Fallon London.
