Israeli start-up company Awear Solutions is creating a new mobile application that will enable users to scan outfits and find their original sources on the spot. If one is interested in the street apparel of a stranger, a basic picture will in turn relay where the look can be purchased and related apparel details.
In order to make this technology available, Awear Solutions is working with microchips that are actually embedded in clothing. This past April, the company successfully tested out the system with DKNY at the brands Madison Avenue location.
The popularity of the Awear Solutions application will continue to spread as more and more brands collaborate with the microchip program. Until then, the concept will likely spark akin street style innovations.
