Powerful Awareness Images

The 'I'm Tired' Project Sheds Light on Daily Discrimination

Attempting to bring eyes to a cause is difficult enough and this project attempts to bring eyes to as many causes as possible with these awareness images.

The 'I’m Tired' Project was created by two Nottingham graduates, Paula Akpan and Harriet Evans. The 21-year-olds began their initiative in June, releasing two images a week with the aim of highlighting stereotypes and the effects they have on each individual that faces them. It is an ongoing project, constructed on the idea that people will organically want to express stories through the project.

The awareness images range from issues of race, gender, sexual orientation, body image, perception and many others with the intention to do something positive and make a change. The founders realize that the project is not perfect but they are just doing their best to highlight the significance of these issues.
