The A&W One Cup Program Encourages Reusable Packaging

The A&W One Cup program has been announced by the Canadian QSR brand as an initiative to help combat against single-use packaging. The initiative will see consumers able to participate by simply purchasing a One Cup for $3 whenever they order a beverage, which can then be exchanged for a freshly cleaned and sanitized one at their next visit. The customer will also receive $0.20 of their beverage purchase, which will eventually pay for the initial cost of entry to the program.

The A&W One Cup program takes the work out of reusable cups, and encourages consumers to keep a One Cup in their car, office, backpack and beyond to ensure they can always avoid use of single-use alternatives. The company reports it has kept around 55,000 cups out of the landfill during the program's pilot launch.
