Waymo Will Now Over Autonomous Rides in Phoenix

Waymo will offer autonomous rides to passengers in Pheonix. Passengers can now book autonomous rides with a Waymo One membership, where rides can be scheduled through the Waymo app. Passengers can also invite others to join them. Waymo also stated that in the next coming weeks it will allow more people to sign up for the Waymo One service.

The launch will allow more people to access autonomous rides, and Waymo can operate in a larger area. Waymo employees will be remotely monitoring the autonomous vehicles and will have the ability to control the car if something goes wrong.

"In the near term, 100 percent of our rides will be fully driverless,’ said John Krafcik, the Waymo CEO.
