Marimekko + Manolo Blahnik Collection

An unusual collaboration between designer Marimekko and stiletto king Manolo Blahnik has produced a bizarre and highly creative collection for Spring/Summer 2008.

The shoes are the product of an evident contamination between the bright patterns typical of the Finish company, and Blahnik's peculiar sculpture-like structures. The latter stated to have been inspired for this collection by Turkish Istanbul architecture.

The collection, which includes pieces in the famous Marimekko floral fantasy will be available as of this week at New York and London Blahnik stores.
