Apple Self Service Repair will Help Users Do Repairs at Home

The Apple Self Service Repair program is being launched by the technology brand as an initiative that will put more control in the hands of the user and enable them to perform repairs on their devices from the comfort of home.

The program will see users sent genuine Apple tools and components that can be used to repair their devices instead of having to head for their nearest Genius Bar. The program will start with the iPhone 12 and 13 series smartphones, while the M1 Macs are expected to be incorporated soon.

COO Jeff Williams commented on the new Apple Self Service Repair program in a release saying, "Creating greater access to Apple genuine parts gives our customers even more choice if a repair is needed. In the past three years, Apple has nearly doubled the number of service locations with access to Apple genuine parts, tools, and training, and now we’re providing an option for those who wish to complete their own repairs."
