The Ann Demeulemeester Spring 2012 Collection Fuses Goth and Boho Styles

Sometimes it can be difficult for people who like to dress in monochromatic hues to also indulge in styles other than minimalism, but the Ann Demeulemeester Spring 2012 collection demonstrates that it is possible to branch out while still remaining in your color palette of choice.

Flawlessly fusing elements that are typically associated with gothic styles (like sheer black looks) and bohemian features (like fringe and big, floppy hats), the Ann Demeulemeester Spring 2012 show is a brilliant demonstration of how to mix and match elements to create a signature look.

The collection is entirely black and white and features entirely flowy fabrics. There are no skin-tight dresses to be found here. There are, however, plenty of completely sheer tops that are not entirely suitable for life off the runway.

The most prominent look of the Ann Demeulemeester Spring 2012 show are sheer maxi skirts. This is definitely a look that I hope will have staying power.
