Angular Joint Furnishings

The Woodkid Chair by Andreason and Leibel is a Fresh Take on Tradition

Andreason and Leibel's Woodkid chair is a modern take on a classic stick seating design. Showcased in a blue finish, the chair is constructed entirely out of square wood beams that feature angular joints.

Each of the sticks are placed into the chair by hand, ensuring that every joint lines up perfectly in space. Instead of using traditional round sticks, the designer duo opted for square-shaped pieces for an angular effect that is purely linear.

Designers Kristian Andreason and Kristin Leibel are best known for creating a number of impressive lighting designs through their collaborations with lighting manufacturer Atelje Lyktan. The duo work from their studio, located in Malmo, Sweden and were the proud recipients of the red dot design award in 2012.
