'Life' from Andrea Ponti Cuts Down on Plastic Waste

Designer Andrea Ponti has designed a paper water container to be used at the 2015 Milano Expo. 'Life' is made entirely out of eco-friendly materials, including recycled paper and natural cotton.

The paper that makes up 'Life' will be double-stitched and made with durable paper, which will ensure that your leg doesn't start leaking while you are walking through the expo. Despite recycling initiatives, there are still tons of plastic bottles being thrown into landfills. Ponti has designed her paper water flask as a way to show people that portable water doesn't need to come in a plastic container.

It doesn't take an eco-activist or a designer to see that replacing plastic water bottles would do the Earth a lot of good. Here's hoping that this design goes from concept to reality before the 2015 Milano Expo.
