Skin-Peeled Sculptures

Damien Steven Hirst's Anatomy of an Angel is Eerily Revealing

The Anatomy of an Angel art piece is unlike any ancient sculpture a person is likely to have come across before. Although many would have already believed that these Greek and Roman sculptures were revealing since they often lacked clothes, this sculpture takes that sentiment to a whole new level.

Created by Damien Steven Hirst, who is known for his radical skull art, the Anatomy of an Angel may bring to mind the artworks of one Jason Freeny. Freeny happens to be the man that brought stripped-down icons such as Hello Kitty and My Little Pony.

Hirst not only sculpted the Anatomy of an Angel, he also created the sculpture Legend, which is an equally surgical look at a Pegasus.
