Pro-Bono Basketball Campaigns

Sport Chek Gives Free Basketballs in Toronto for All-Star Weekend

Athletic brand Sport Chek recently launched its #WeGotNow basketball campaign by giving away hundreds of free basketballs in Toronto. The project set up massive pyramids of the balls on display on busy street corners for consumers to enjoy pro bono. The public stunt was done in conjunction with the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend also taking place this year in Toronto.

The public campaign was put together by North Strategic and it paid tribute to the inventor of the popular game who also happens to be Canadian, Frederick Lecoq. Consumers were encouraged to walk up to the pyramids, take one of the balls and enjoy playing with it while they experienced the sport first hand as well as the branded product.
