The Aljazeera Network Campaign Looks Like It's Written in Another Language

With all the historical Middle Eastern events taking place lately, it seems only natural that the Aljazeera Network would want to advertise its broadcasting station. As it states quite concisely in its ad campaign, it is "The Arabic source, broadcasted in English."

Conceived and executed by Denmark-based ad agencies DMJX and Kreativ Kommunikation, the Aljazeera Network ad campaign takes a simple route. It uses traditional Arabic typography to make it appear at first that the sentences in the middle of the print ads are actually written in the Arabic language when in fact it is either in English, or simply a mirror image of English. Only one of the three Aljazeera Network prints ads relies on the emoticons that Westerners have become accustomed to using on a daily basis, cleverly making it appear like a Hijab and veil.
