Boeing Partnered with Alder Fuels to Launch a Biomass SAF Plan

'Boeing,' the renowned aircraft company, announced a new partnership with the sustainable fuel development company 'Alder Fuels.' As part of this partnership the two companies will collaborate on creating sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs) to use across Boeing's fleet of commercial aircraft.

According to Alder Fuels, the primary method of creating sustainable fuel is through biomass conversion. The fuel company has created proprietary technology that allows it to convert sustainable forest residues and excess biomass into usable jet fuel that it calls "greencrude," essentially a carbon-negative fuel solution.

Boeing and Alder Fuels expect that the first greencrude-powered aircrafts will debut in 2024 with many to follow, assuming the success of the new biofuel SAF solution is effective.
