Recently I received an innovative charitable request from Artscape TO, (a non-profit, urban development organization that does it's work through the arts), for air miles instead of the usual cash, time, household items.
Artscape even went so far as to outline that they would like to reach 220 000 aeroplan miles to cover the cost of speaker flights for a lecture!
(Airmiles is a Canadian based incentive reward program that offers air mileage on a variety of services and products.)
In these tough times, I must applaud Artscape for their innovative thought with regards to donations. I know many people are cash strapped, or weary of spending and this is a good way to encourage people to help a charity in a manageable way.
