It was a great moment when car keys were able to be used like remote controls, and now it's time for the bicycle version with the Acoustic-Optical Lock.
Designed by Yakun Zhang, Jason Liu and Danwei Ye, the Acoustic-Optical Lock is made to help cyclists locate their bikes when they've parked it in a sea of two-wheelers. This high-tech lock is equipped with a remote controlled key that sounds an alarm as well as a LED light.
The Acoustic-Optical Lock is crafted with a lock system with a key that is built with a radio transmitter. Once the button is pressed on the key, it automatically connects to the lock to blare a sharp sound along with flashing lights. It's ideal for dark nights or places where light is not available.
