The ACE 1 Stove Uses Solar and Biomass Energy

The ACE 1 is a stove that brings together elements of biomass power and solar energy in an eco-friendly cooking solution that also has the ability to charge electronic devices. In essence, this contraption is a cooking solution as well as a charger for campers, people in developing countries and people who dwell in remote regions with limited access to electricity grids. The stove was developed by African Clean Energy.

The stove can be charged via the grid of via the 5-watt solar panel, and offers around three hours of cooking time per hour of charging. The contraption offers 20 hours of cooking time on a full battery.

African Clean Energy has taken to Kickstarter to raise funds for the development and production of the ACE 1 stove. A pledge of $205 will secure you a stove if and when the campaign hits its fundraising goal. Deliveries are scheduled for early 2015.
