Do you get a kick out of hearing someone try to imitate your local accent? Philadelphia-native Amy Walker is a rising Youtube hit doing just that with her video "21 Accents."
Without revealing her true nationality, she does all 21 English accents in a two and a half minute sequence, including Sydney, Toronto, Dublin, Paris, Texas, Los Angeles, Wellington, among others.
The fiery red-headed actress, singer, and director clearly has a flare for drama and her detailed voice skills in the video are exquisite. I was a bit taken aback by her robotic grace and perfectly groomed face. She would make an excellent Broadway actress.
The comments she receives are overwhelmingly positive, with the natives of each city throwing in their 2 cents here and there. Since she largely skipped over South American and African accents, there have been others posting tributes to add to the collection.
