The ‘About Face’ Documentary Examines Models of The Past

A new documentary is being released soon on HBO that looks into the lives of the top fashion supermodels from the past 50 years and discusses the importtant topics of self-promotion in the ‘About Face: Supermodels Then and Now’ Documentary.

The film speaks to some of the most influential supermodels from back in the day such as Jerry Hall, Lisa Taylor, Carol Alt, Christie Brinkley, Paulina Porizkova, Isabella Rossellini, Lisa Taylor, Cheryl Tiegs and many others. The ‘About Face’ Documentary discusses how each of these models dealt with fashion, fame, appearance and the unspoken word "ageing."

A personal favorite moment in the trailer for me was when on of the models claimed that she became beautiful once she stopped modelling, as she claims that "modeling doesn’t have anything to do with self confidence." I think the ‘About Face’ Documentary will be an eye opening film for anyone who enjoys the fashion world.

The film was made by filmmaker Timothy Greenfield-Sanders.
