These Buses Are Going to Serve a Bus Route in Gothenburg

These fully electric buses, developed by Swedish automaker Volvo, are set to be introduced on bus route 55 in the city of Gothenburg. These buses use 80% less energy than most diesel equivalents.

The introduction of these electric buses is part of the ElectriCity scheme, which seeks to make public transport as sustainable as possible. These exhaust-free buses, which can carry up to 86 passengers and feature modern and welcoming interiors, will be powered by electricity from a range of renewable sources.

These vehicles set to help their community in two ways. Public transport buses reduce car traffic, reducing pollution as well as traffic congestion. Moreover the electric setup of these buses makes them even more eco-friendly.
