Giant Robot-Controlling Arcade Games

Quarantime is a Game and Interactive Live Stream Experience

Quarantime is a newly released arcade-style game that also involves an interactive live stream, which allows players to control robots over the Internet.

Played through a giant robot-controlled arcade installation via the interactive website RoboArcaid, the project comes from creative friends and collaborators Master of Shapes and VTProDesign. After a planned interactive installation for SXSW was canceled, the team brainstormed a way to repurpose some of the gear and created something entirely new in a virtual environment that everyone can experience from the safety of their own homes.

Quarantime gameplay is truly a collective effort, with players building their progress on top of each other, not dissimilar to the community cooperation needed in our current physical reality to stop the spread of COVID-19.
