The ‘I Wish You Were Here Project’ Helps Cancer Patients

The 'I Wish You Were Here Project' aims to bring the world to those who are unable to travel and see these wonderful places.

The designer's mother Marianne Houghton was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer three years ago, and has since developed a tumor in the center of her brain. The mother and daughter duo shared a common interest in world travel and would often correspond through postcards to keep in touch. Since Marianna can no longer travel due to her health, Tanya started this project.

The idea is simple, says Tanya. "Choose a postcard, address it to Marianne, tell her about your three favorite things you love or love to do where you live. Put a stamp on it and send it on its way".

All of the received postcards will be put up on the website, so that you too can get a chance to see the world that Marianne gets to see.
