The Paris Mint & Dior Made a One-Off 4.4-Pound Gold Coin

The Paris Mint, Dior and Sotheby’s have teamed up for the first time to hold an auction in early March 2022 for a one-off 4.4-pound gold coin that pays tribute to first of Christian Dior’s perfumes, Miss Dior. The coin design by Joaquin Jimenez, the general engraver of the Monnaie de Paris, incorporates an iconic houndstooth pattern, a dagger knot, roses, as well as other details for collectors to appreciate.

The design is presented in a sewing box and it's the first time that a two-kilo gold single-issue coin is going up for auction.

Before the coin goes up for auction, it will be available for the public to see for a limited time in February.
