Comic Book Knife Ads

The 3M Nexcare Bandaid Campaign is Made for Cartoon Lovers

There are bandages for just about anyone and now the 3M Nexcare Bandaid campaign is targeting comic book lovers. In place of the boring brown ones, Hello Kitty versions and other kitschy alternatives, these bandaids are decorated with fun anime characters for kids. But instead of focusing on the bandages themselves, the print ads have turned the graphic novels themselves into the item that hurt the individual in the first place.

The 3M Nexcare Bandaid campaign was conceived by the Grey Group ad agency branch based in Hong Kong, China. Art directed by Henry Kwok with creative direction by Kym Ma and Jeff Tsang, the images show various knives as comic books. The ad campaign was shot by photographer Jason To.
