Exploratory Road Trips

30 Mosques in 30 States is a Breathtaking Blog Following Religious Groups

Aman Ali and Bassam Tariq are the founders behind the 30 Mosques in 30 states road trip blog. The two travelled across the United states to spend each night of Ramadan at a different mosque in 30 different states. The total trip would take them 13,000 miles across the country and would eventually circle them back to their respective homes in New York City.

Ali and Tariq wanted to properly document the month of Ramadan and pay a tribute to the many people that participate in the religious phenomenon. The two figured that there are nearly three to four million Muslims living in the United States -- a number that is expected to double by the year 2030. The two travelled to the various locations to take photos of people and mosques for their 30 Mosques in 30 states blog.
