Based on the "lighter seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf," the 2015 Volkswagen Golf R is North America's most powerful production Golf to ever enter its market and was shown at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
While the 2015 Volkswagen Golf R is more fuel efficient than previous Golf R's, this beautiful brand new car is estimated to have 290 horsepower (34 more hp than the previous version) with a 2.0-liter engine that can take the car from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 4.9 seconds.
The Golr R has a new bumper design that has exceptionally large air inlets as well as newly developed daytime running lights, that form a dual "U" design beneath the headlights. You can expect the new 2015 Volkswagen Golf R to go on sale in the United States sometime in the first quarter of 2015.
