Touch-Controlled Wooden Lamps

The T1 & T2 Lamps are Made Using Recycled Wood & Eco-Friendly LEDs

Ukraine-based designer Nick Ponomarenko created these touch-controlled wooden lamps using 50 percent recycled materials. The lamps are produced in two unique structures -- The T1 lamp resembles an abstract letter ‘A’ while the T2 lamp boasts an upside down ‘L’ shape.

Each wooden lamp uses a simple touch-controlled sensor, which allows the user to alter the brightness between three levels. The touch sensor also turns the lamp on and off. With ultra bright LEDs embedded into each lamp, they produce over 50,000 hours of light. This also allows the lamps to only consume two Watts of electricity.

These environmentally conscious lamps are currently seeking funding through a Kickstarter platform. The goal is to raise awareness of the environment while obtaining funding for the production of the lamps. Ponomarenko predicts the lamps will be available for consumer purchase in early 2016.
