Held together with hidden magnetic screws, the Babylon Tower wooden desk design looks as though it is barely held together, tapering into a tall construction that threatens to collapse at any moment.
Designed by Andréason & Leibel, the tall shelving unit that is attached to the tabletop was inspired by a 16th-century painting of the Tower of Babel by Pieter Bruegel. The precariously tall structure consists of lacquered larch wood that has an ombre effect going from dark pink to pale wood to enhance the length and distance from the bottom to the top.
The Babylon Tower wooden desk shelf design can also be collapsed into a flat pack for easy storage and transportation.
