The Wolf Within Chair is the Fairy Tale of the Furniture World

Given the theme of 'Little Red Cap' under the subject of a Brothers Grimm design exhibit, Chris Duffy came up with the Wolf Within Chair, as an adaptation of an existing piece. Many of his seating objects have been realized with an illusory aesthetic quality, appearing as floating sofas and stools that are supported by their silhouettes.

This Shadow Chair is different from Duffy London's others because it features the ebony outline of a feral dog, rather than the rectilinear geometries of the piece of furniture itself. The two sole legs of the seat extend backwards as the limbs of the wolf, who is poised and howling at the moon above him. The image of the animal in the Wolf Within Chair is cut from black faux fur, with the base of the powder-coated steel structure hidden beneath it.
