Wine-Fueled Fun Runs

This Race Supplies Entrants with Wine Instead of Water at Rest Stops

A Glasgow-based events company called 'TeamOA' is organizing an unusual fun run that involves giving entrants wine instead of water at each of the rest stops. This race follows similar events, which have involved using chocolate and pie as running motivation.

The wine-fueled fun run is set to take place later this year and it will be hosted directly in Glasgow. Although the official route has yet to be finalized, the ten-kilometer race will involve wine samples at each of the two-mile rest stops. There will also be full-size wine bottles available for purchase at the end of the race.

While the idea of offering long-distance runners wine instead of water may seem a bit ridiculous, the event is largely designed as a fun way to get people interested in the sport.
