The Windows 8 Update Promises a Very User-Friendly Experience

Starting October 17th, Microsoft Windows 8.1, the Windows 8 update, is available for download. If you're a loyal Microsoft user and have been using Windows 8, the download is free for you.

The latest version offers people a more user-friendly experience while still staying true to original Microsoft features. For instance, with this version the Start button is back. By simply tapping 'Start' you'll be brought back to the new tile interface. Further, you are no longer limited to the number of tabs you can have open; the number is endless. Likewise, you can have four apps open side by side to get more done at once.

Next, if you're someone who gets annoyed by constantly changing keyboards to access punctuations, you can now just swipe the keys for access. For the picture-obsessed, you no longer have to log into your device to access the camera. Now you can take a picture instantly from the lock screen and no longer risk missing the perfect picture because you typed your passcode in wrong. There is also a picture-editing tool so you can touch-up photos before making them public.

One really cool added feature is the gesture app. Instead of having to touch the screen you can simply wave your hand in front and your device will register your request. This is ideal if your hands are dirty and you don't want to wreck your screen.

Finally, music lovers will enjoy the Xbox music refresh, which allows them to create playlists easily.
