The Will & Caro Japanese Paper Installations Are Intricate

The Will & Caro wall installations are made with washi, a form of Japanese paper. Behind the Will & Caro name are Carolyn Wong and William Du, an artistic duo from Australia and Finland. The two have been applying their expertise to their exhibits since 2009.

Wong's interest in Japanese history has been paired with Du's preoccupation with movement. Their backgrounds come together well in each exhibit as butterflies are shaped in geometric patterns, forming intricate swirls and lines. This is moreover reflective of Wong and Du's stated appreciation of the environment, "The inspiration lies behind nature in that it’s design is both deliberate and effortless which is reminiscent in some ways of the life experiences unique to each individual."
