WILBUR's Automatic Launch Edition Watch is Like Wearable Art

Launched in 2020, WILBUR is a new California-based watchmaking brand led by designer Jason Wilbur that specializes in crafting unconventional, high-end timepieces. This week the brand launched a new motor-inspired wristwatch called the Automatic Launch Edition.

The new luxury timepiece features a radical exoskeleton design that allows wearers to see the inside structural elements of the watch, including its chassis, chapter ring, and automatic movement. In addition, the watch itself comes in a large 44mm case, making it a clear statement piece.

Other features of the Automatic Launch Edition include an AR-coated sapphire crystal front and back, a 3D dial, luminescent hands and hour indices, a water-resistant case, and an anti-reflective coating throughout. Customers have the option to pair the piece with three strap options: a silicon bolt-on strap, a Ballistic Nylon strap, or a leather strap with contrast stitching.
