New Wheelchair App Lets Paralyzed People Regain Control Through Focus

A new technologically advanced wheelchair app for the iPhone was developed by a team of researchers at the Singapore Republic Polytechnic School of Engineering. The app is designed to help people who are completely paralyzed and cannot move their wheelchairs themselves. The iPhone wheelchair app interprets brain signals from the person in the wheelchair and acts according to the individual's wants. The person would wear a special headset that helps to convert brain waves into electrical signals and transfer them to the phone. All the person has to do is focus on a specific object in an area they would like to go and the chair would move in that direction. If they want to stop, they have to just stop focusing on that object.

The wheelchair app is truly a great achievement in technology and will surely help out many people in the future.
