'Wax Installation' is a design by David Thulstrup, which examines the dining experience through altering a traditional table. The artist has added wax to the inner sections of a slatted table, and has also used varying colors to see what effect this may have.
Thulstrup was also trying to offer an air of comfort by using this design, instead of simply using a plain piece of wood for people to eat on. This design helps to spur on conversation, which is so much what eating is about when spending time with friends and family. The wax also just adds so much character to the slatted table, while still offering a perfectly functional surface for people to serve and eat dinner in comfort and happiness in general.
