The Wavelength Concept Phone is a Private Speakerphone

If anything is to save the landline from certain demise, then it's the Wavelength concept phone. The Wavelength concept phone is a unique home phone designed to be completely private and hands-free.

The Wavelength concept phone was designed by Daniel Fitzgerald and uses a unique sound blend technology to keep your conversations private even when the receiver isn't at your ear. The phone uses a camera to track your location so that its speakers are pointed directly at you. The phone then releases two high-pitched sounds that together sound inaudible unless heard in the phone's frequency range. The phone also features a detachable number pad that can be used to make calls on-the-fly or as a more traditional cordless landline.
