Invisible Air Cannons

Vortex Created by Condensing Water and Gas to Create a Weapon

While a bullet made of air that you can’t see doesn’t sound so frightening, a bullet made of air from a vortex cannon traveling at 200mph is a little more intimidating.

This vortex cannon uses a mixture of some very dangerous gases and the condensation from the lake to create an air vortex that is shot from the massive barrel at the houses of the three little pigs (straw, wood, brick). The only way to get an image of the vortex is to film at 1300 frames per second (which is what they did).

The cannon is powerful enough to knock down a man with minimal force. I wouldn’t want to get in front of that.
Trend Themes
1. Vortex Cannon Technology - Developing compressed air technology to achieve greater force and efficiency in vortex-based applications.
2. Non-lethal Weapons - Innovating alternative forms of self-defense that leverage non-lethal technology to minimize harm to human targets.
3. High-speed Filming - Advancing the sophistication of cameras and filming techniques to capture the complexities of events that occur faster than the eye can perceive.
Industry Implications
1. Defense and Security - Supplying law enforcement agencies and military forces with non-lethal weapons that can neutralize targets with minimal risk of injury or death.
2. Film and Video - Offering high-speed filming services and technologies to record events that unfold in fractions of a second with stunning clarity and precision.
3. Construction and Engineering - Developing compressed air applications suitable for construction and demolition projects where controlled blasts can improve safety and efficiency.
