Superheroic Ketchup Equations

Viola Trentin Crafts an Ad Campaign Fusing Crusaders with Condiments

If you were to look at these posters from Viola Trentin’s creative ad campaign, you’d never think of Heinz Ketchup as a boring condiment. Created for a school project, Trentin uses the red flavor-enhancer and a myriad of Marvel characters in fun equations that denote how superheroes get their extraordinary powers. Featured characters include the Hulk, Ghost Rider and the Human Torch, whom are entirely appropriate considering the ads promote a spicy variation of ketchup.

In addition to the wonderful concept, Viola Trentin also used pixel art to depict each equation. Given the popularity of pixel art among geeks, this marriage of art style and concept is perfect.

If Trentin continues to churn out brilliant campaigns like these, she’ll no doubt amass quite a collection of awards in the near future.
