Quilted Back Bookcases

Daniel Becker's Victor Wooden Shelves are Warm and Simple

As you can see from the Victor wooden shelves series, quilted details are not solely reserved for bedding, clothes and the occasional sofa. Instead, quilting can be used for other furniture pieces like bookcases. Creating a warm, grandmothery presence, the Victor wooden shelves would be a welcomed addition into any home.

Created by German designer Daniel Becker, the Victor wooden shelves series is nevertheless clean-cut and contemporary as well, despite the use of a traditional fabric texture. Made out of solid oak wood, the quilt backs, which were made using fabric-covered MDF panels, are used mainly as accents rather than purposeful addition. In fact, some of the shelving in these series doesn't even use this backing. Available in two sizes, the Victor wooden shelves can even be hung on the wall.
