Dark Vegan Truffles

Alter Eco's 'Superdark Truffles' are Decadent and Plant-Based

As seen at the Specialty Food Association's Winter Fancy Food Show, many brands are turning their attention to plant-based foods—and Alter Eco is responding to the prevalence of plant-based diets by launching low-sugar vegan truffles. The all-new organic chocolate Superdark Truffles are plant-based and comprised of 80% Swiss-made cocoa and coconut oil, with just three grams of sugar per serving. As Alter Eco CEO Mike Forbes identifies, "plant-based diets [are] on the rise and consumers looking for low-sugar options to satisfy their sweet cravings."

Alter Eco will also be expanding its Superdark range with the Superdark Double Chocolate Coconut Clusters and a 90% Superdark Crisp Mint Bar.

With dark chocolate regarded by many as an indulgent yet healthy snack, consumers are also becoming interested in ultra-dark chocolate products with very high percentages of cocoa.
