Modern Delay Plug-Ins

The Valhalla Delay Reimagines Classic Delay and Echo Plug-Ins

Valhalla DSP's Valhalla Delay is another exceptional effect plug-in from the software company's collection, which offers an all-encompassing solution for classic and modern delay variations, adding space and character to any sound or production.

Similar to Valhalla's other virtual effects, Valhalla Delay has a user interface that adopts the same monochromatic contemporary style, using fonts and plain dials to enhance usability and comprehension. Appearing deceivingly simple, Valhalla DSP has gone above and beyond to compile a wide variety of modes and styles, resulting in a sophisticated environment for creating custom delays.

Valhalla Delay offers a number of echo and delay algorithm modes that take after vintage hardware units. Each mode may include different controls that will morph the user interface to match. Currently, the algorithms include: Tape, Hi Fidelity (HiFi), Bucket Brigade (BBD), Digital, Ghost, Pitch, Reverse Pitch, BBD Duck, Clarity, DuckTape, PitchDuck, and LoFi. Meanwhile, the Styles control goes hand-in-hand with these modes, and is another major feature of the Delay that allows the user to control the wet signals left/right channel relationship, and voices. The different Styles include: Single, Dual, Ratio, Ping Pong, and Quad.

Valhalla incorporates a number of other controls that play with the Modes and Styles to generate unique results. These controls include: delay lengths, beat sync, age, diffusion, era control, and ducking.

Valhalla Delay is available digitally for $50 through Valhalla's website.
