In his upside-down photography, David Lidbetter captures objects from a normally neglected point of view.
The images feature the bottom of a used target, used paper and a set of stamps. In doing so, he manages to find the artistic value in things that normally aren't thought to be so. It may take a while for some people to realize what exactly it is that they are looking at; the up-turned roots kind of look like a microscopic particle or even a distant planet. Some of us see these things every day, but normally wouldn't give them a second thought. His skilled photography puts these sides in the spotlight.
This series of upside-down photos is part of an ongoing project for David as he discovers beauty in simplicity.
